On the auspicious banks of river Kushavati and under the meadows of beautiful coconut trees – the Kalpvruksh , within the precincts of a land that is blessed with natural richness, the Gudo- Avedem of Quepem Taluka in South Goa is situated the Shree Saunstan Shantadurga Chamundeshwari Kudtari Mahamaya Devasthan. The activities of this centuries old historic temple is developing and growing steadily and subtly. It is indeed a matter of pride to make a mention that the Executive Committee of the temple, Mahajan, Kulavis and devotees are wholeheartedly supporting, contributing and strengthening the innovative and projects of the Devasthan,

This year i.e. Vikaari Naam Samvatsar Shak 1941 marks the Silver Jubilee Celebrations for the Re-Installation of the murthis-idols of the Devi– Goddesses. On this blessed occasion it has been decided to perform the Shatchandi Anusthan with the help of 35 Pandits who are having expertise in Ved Shastras to seek special divine blessings of the Goddesses. This religious and cultural ceremony has been schedule on Margshirsh Pournima to Margshirsh Krushn Pratipada i.e. Wednesday, 11 th December, 2019 to Thursday, 12th December, 2019. It is desired to unveil and publish the Souvenir pertaining to the Devasthan during this ceremony. It is a glad feeling to place before all the people the report of the activities performed by the Devasthan for last 25 years.

For many years of the initial period the temple was a very small structure, which has been transformed into a magnificent and spacious temple premises by the grace of the Devi as is witnessed by you all now. Well decorated Sabha Mandap, Udengi Temple, Deep Stambh, Yadnya Mandap, huge Mahadwar, Rath-Gruha, Sacred Well and renovation of the Agrashala with changing times has been constructed. This mammoth exercise is not possible to be accomplished overnight or by one executive committee but has been possible only due to support and help of numerous known – unknown people from all walks of life. We are humbly indebted to all those Mahajan, Kulavis, Devotees and well wishers who have helped us in expansion and beautification projects surrounding the temple. I urge everyone to extend your cooperation in furtherance of the expansion projects of the temple and receive the blessings of the Devi.

We are committed to provide all amenities and facilities to Mahajans, Devotees and people visiting this temple by keeping equal pace with the developing times. The Mahajans, Kulavis and devotees have been blessed by Shrimad Vidhyadhiraj Teerth Vader Swamy of Shree Saunsthan Gokarn Partgal Jeevottam Mutt, Shrimad Sacchidanand Swamy and Shrimad Shivanand Saraswati Swamy of Kaivalya Mutt, Shrimad Sudhindra Teerth and Pattshishya Shrimad Samyamindra Teerth Swamy of Kashimutt, Shri Shri Vamanashram Swamy of Krushnashram Mutt of Haldipur, Shri Shri Sacchidannd Nyaneshwar Bharati Swami of Karki Mutt during their visit to the temple.

The activities which have been performed by us but credit of it goes to our Mahajan, Kulavis and devotees and it has to be evaluated by you. The activities that have been performed has been as desired and completed by Devi herself, we are only for namesake.

21st  Century is the era of Information and Technology and education is very crucial in this era. Considering this aspect the temple committee has initiated felicitation program of meritorious students from this year.
